Nailed it! How do ya like them eggs?

Count 'em: 12 fresh, unbroken eggs, transported with the 5-gallon jug of drinking water ... arriving unbroken, as you can see.
Baby, the eggs are in the nest. Count ’em: 12 fresh, unbroken eggs, transported with the 5-gallon jug of drinking water … arriving unbroken, as you can see.

In the world of personal crises, this was never going to be one of the big ones.

Earlier today, we were out of eggs and water, setting up a challenge worthy of reality TV: Can one man travel the 300 yards to the local market, pick up replacements, and get them home without breaking the eggs?

My recent history would suggest one thing: No.

Read more of the spiritual torment I went through earlier today here.

Well, there comes a time when a man has got to say but one thing: “I’ve got this, baby.”

So check off one more challenge to island life.

Enough said.

The future is bright, the horizons are limitless and the lion sleeps tonight  … because the eggs are in the basket.
