Thanks for responding. Winter in Belize is a beautiful time. We lived nearly five years on Ambergris Caye. So, my knowledge of Placencia is pretty limited and after two years in Mexico, my recommendations would be untrustworthy. A good place to start would be sanpedroscoop.com, a blog by Rebecca Coutant. While her main focus is San Pedro/Ambergris Caye, over the years she has covered the whole country. Her blog has subsections on hot spots like Placencia. Good luck. Whatever you decide, be ready for a great adventure!
