Lady Leslie
Sunset sail in Belize: Sometimes this really is Paradise

(This item was written recently for a popular magazine that specializes in prying Americans out of their comfy lifestyle and into overseas living adventures. An awful lot of their copy feels like it has a rose-colored tint to it — and this one will strike you as much the same. However, I can’t help it. This was just a really great night at sea with some exceptionally nice people on a glorious Caribbean night. There are plenty of struggles, living in a tiny Carribean nation and I will continue to address them as they come up. But for the moment, let’s take a break and head to sea. — Bob)
In town? Tuesday night, join us for a sail on the Lady Leslie

Hey! Are you in San Pedro?
A friend of ours, and probably yours, Ruthie Rinehart, has lined up a Sunset/Moonrise sail for this Tuesday evening, April 15, aboard the Lady Leslie.
Apparently the sun sets and the moon rises at about the same time. This should be great fun. This is also a great exercise for getting the kinks out of your neck, swiveling from east to west and back again.
The Lady Leslie, a 38-foot catamaran, will ship off at 5 p.m. with captain Martin Leslie at the helm — if we can get at least 10 of us to sign up!
Ruthie, Chunky, Rose and I took a snorkeling trip on the Lady Leslie on April 10 and had a spectacular time. Martin and his sons know how to create an unforgettable experience.
Cost for the evening sail is $50 US per person and includes drinks and snacks. If you want to join us contact Jill Leslie at 226-2279 or cell 600-8435.
Call Jill as soon as possible. I think we need to sign up 10 of us before we can set sail! Sorry for the short notice, but this will be a memorable time!
Among a slew of perfect days in Belize, the most perfect of all

On Thursday everything in the universe was was aligned. It was a calendar palindrome 4-10-2014 (4102014). And apparently the sun, mars, the moon and the earth were all perfectly aligned on the same axis.
Powerful, inexplicable, mystical forces at work.
A good day to celebrate a birthday.
