After Earl: This was the Palapa Bar

Ben Popik, owner of the popular Truck Stop and Island Films, took a number of drone shots on Thursday of what remains of the once-thriving San Pedro coast line. You can see more of his images here.
This coast was, until, Wednesday night, jammed with piers and boats and businesses. Not a single dock, commercial or private, on the 24-miles island escaped Hurricane Earl unscathed.
Photos from various numerous island sources and residents:

Hi Bob,
So sorry to find out about Earl, our thoughts are with you & Rose.
An odd coincidence, we knew a Ben Popik many years ago in Alameda. If he’s Ben’s age he’s probably the same person. Best of luck to him with his Palapa Bar.

Hi Janine and John,
I think this Ben Popik is one and the same. He grew up in Alameda! What a nice coincidence. Now you and John have another good reason to come visit — after the clean-up! Ben and his wife Joanna are a very talented couple who do impressive work on film and own one of the most popular restaurant and gathering sites on the island, called The Truck Stop. Besides being just all around good people.
