As you can see, everyone is scrambling to set up their booths for tonight’s festival. Starting around 5 p.m. , the smell of lobster prepared in countless savory ways will be overwhelming.
Virtually every experienced LobsterFester has told us to show up early because the lines will quickly grow to crazy lengths.
So, now I wonder, if EVERYONE shows up early, to beat the lines ….
Ah, no worries.
Grand day in Boca del Rio
On Thursday the LobsterFest passport called for a stop at Wayo’s Beach Beernet on Boca del Rio.
No problem. The beach bar is on our way home from yoga. Quick stop. Stamp the passport (each stamp translates into a ticket for a raffle tonight — valuable prizes!). Head home.
Then we saw the lobster corn fritters with mango sauce topping. And the cheese-and-lobster-filled peppers — poppers! — and, well, ice cold rum punches were $5 BZD and a bucket of 6 Belikins could be had for $20 BZD.
And then, it seemed s if our entire neighborhood decided to show up.
This is how the clock suddenly indicates that it is after 4 p.m. and a blissful three hours have passed.
