Drones fly over Belize, take first ‘selfies’ at Xunantunich

I’m sure somebody will figure out how to shoot really terrible images of Belize. Somebody, some day. But not today.
Not while there are video drones around to give us entirely fresh perspectives on this beautiful country.
Check out this brand-new stunning three-minute high-definition video of several iconic places in Belize, specifically Goff’s Caye, Caye Espanto Resort and the Mayan ruins Xunantunich, just west of San Ignacio. If you watch closely there is also a tiny bit of the Ambergris Caye coast and a residential section of San Ignacio.
And if you look real close you’ll see a DJI S1000 drone photobombing the flyover of the Xunantunich ruins by another drone. Who knew drones could be as obnoxious as real people?
How vain, drone, how very vain.
The video is shot by a firm called SkyCamGuatemala and is presumably a calling card for their business.
They promise to come back to Belize and shoot some more. I can’t wait to see what they come up with next.

It is, Bob. The novelty of the drone perspective has created so much interest and excitement — and fresh beauty. As photographers and other artists gain mastery over the technology, I think amazing new windows into our world will open.

Beautiful, but too fast. Just when I was getting a good look… SNAP! the scene changed. Honestly, I liked your photo tour better…at least I could take my time and absorb the scenery. BUT beautiful and a great fast look at Belize. Thanks for sharing.
